HRO - High Risk Operations

Tactical course that provides specialized training in the area of High Risk Operations

COURSE AIM:

This training aims to enhance operational skills in intermediate and advanced firearm proficiency and in tactical progression, on open ground and in built-up areas, developing abilities and techniques in close protection, with particular attention to managing the personnel safety of the participants.

PARTICIPANTS:

UP to 32 Junior police officers/NCOs (platoon or team leaders). Participating Countries will be asked to provide teams composed by 4 up to 8 personnel.

COURSE SUBJECTS:

• Providing specialised assistance and training to attendees, in the area of high risk operations, in the view of their future employment within multinational POs, and in accordance with the UN Standard Training Modules;

• enhancing individual and team expertise in tactical progression, on open ground and in built-up areas, with due consideration to personnel safety;
• increasing capability to work in close cooperation with other police units and with specialised assets which may support the operations, such as K9 units, negotiators, IED/EOD teams, snipers, drones, etc.;
• improving skills in intermediate and advanced firearm proficiency;
• developing abilities and techniques in close protection tasks;
• provide a general awareness about protection issues and diversity aspects;
• create a basic knowledge on didactical skills and ToT system.
