WHAT IT IS: A theoretical and practical training course designed to provide the legal and operational tools to counter trafficking in human beings (THB), protect victims, and raise awareness of the phenomenon.
MAIN AIM: To deliver a comprehensive preparation focusing on demand reduction, victim assistance and protection, national/cross-border cooperation tools and other international standards.
KEY LEARNING OBJECTIVES & SKILLS:
Investigative & Border Skills: Understanding investigative methods for THB crimes and their links to terrorist activities; enhancing evidence gathering and information collection; border control and prevention; and basic first aid.
Victim Management & Protection: Mastering victim interview best practices and protection frameworks, balancing the victim's interests with active police investigations.
Institutional Cooperation: Developing regional and international cooperation, analyzing UN measures, and reviewing international organizations' efforts to build a relevant regulatory structure.
